SITE VISIT AFTERNOON
The new Troja Bridge in Prague is a part of the City Ring Road. It connects the part of the city Holesovice to the new road system. It carries 4 lanes of the road traffic, 2 tracks for trams and 2 lanes for pedestrians and cyclists.
The bridge has a main span 200.4 m long and a side span (40.4 m long). The main span has a hybrid structure composed of the network steel tied arch and of the prestressed concrete deck. The side span is completely made of prestressed concrete. The width of the bridge is almost 35 m.
At the moment the bridge deck is completed and the arch will be almost completed at the time of the visit.
During the visit, the powerpoint presentation will illustrate a complex construction of the bridge and then the details will be explained during a walk along the bridge.
